How long will it take for the delivery to be sent?
Once your timber is complete an invoice will be raised alerting you that your timber is ready. Collection/delivery may then be arranged once full payment is received if not signed up to a trade account. We typically deliver within five-working days during mill operating hours, which are Mon – Thu 08h00 – 17h30 and Fri 08h00 – 16h30. The driver will contact you to arrange mutually agreed time.
Do we have our own delivery vehicles?
Short answer is no, we do however have a longstanding partnership with a local haulage company that specialises in the transportation of timber, ensuring reliable and efficient delivery services. For deliveries further afield: We outsource deliveries south of the border to our national courier services, namely, GS Pallet wise and M&H carriers.
What size vehicles will the timber arrive on?
Deliveries are normally delivered by a 4×4 vehicle and trailer or a lorry, depending on the load size and location of the drop off.
Will the driver off load the delivery?
If the delivery is via the 4×4 and trailer you will need to have the manpower/equipment to off load the delivery. You will be expected to off load the delivery within approx. 20 minutes. If required, we can book the lorry with a forklift that can off load the timber packs. This is better suited to larger loads as the cost per hour is more than double that on the 4×4 and trailer.
