- Surveying the Forest: Foresters identify mature, high-quality trees ready for felling.
- Manual & Mechanical Harvesting: Either by chainsaw or mechanical harvesters, trees are safely felled and prepared onsite.
- Lorries transport the logs to the sawmill for processing.
- At the mill, logs are sorted based on species, size, and quality.
- All logs are tagged, documented and added to the system.
- Logs are left to rest for a couple of months.
- Through-and-through cutting for consistent thickness.
- Boards are stacked with stickers for airflow.
- Air dried in the yard — approximately one year per inch of thickness (to 20-25% moisture content).
- Boards are stacked with spacers and loaded into the kiln.
- Controlled heat, humidity, and airflow gradually reduce moisture.
- Target moisture content: 6–10%, ideal for indoor use.
Once kilned it's time for final processing to make it usable for woodworking projects:
- Cutting and trimming to remove any defects.
- Flattening and planing to a uniform thickness.
- Crosscutting the ends to ensure perfect right angles.

- Selected boards are displayed in our showroom; others remain stored at the mill.
